MEASURE YOUR FORGIVENESS LEVEL
When I am offended:

  1. Do I bury it and pretend as if it did not hurt me?

  2. Lie low, waiting for the ripe moment to retaliate.

  3. Begin immediately to think aggressively how to make my offenderS pay for their action.

  4. Withhold my support and kindness as before.

  5. I refuse to allow the hurt to get to me.  I refuse to be hurt easily.

  6. I recognize that when others hurt me, I see it as part and parcel of human existence.

  7. Because I have been hurt, I feel like hurting someone else to make me feel better.

  8. I turn my hurt over to the Lord to heal me.

  9. I pray for my offender.

  10. I throw a self-pity party because I feel I am the object of assault or attack from everyone.

  11. I transfer the anger to people associated with my offender.

  12. I refuse to have anything to do with them.

  13. I get upset with I think about them.

  14. I am not happy when I hear they are doing well.

  15. I refuse to greet them when I see them.

This questionnaire can be used to measure your level of forgiveness on a general level.  Remember, the first person that gets the benefits or rewards of forgiveness is the one who offers it.  Forgiveness is its own reward.
